“Yes,” he walks to me, taking my hands. He leads me back into his room, where a broken vase remained on the floor. “Sorry for that; Gloria made quite a mess.” 

“I’m the one who should apologise for eavesdropping; I’m so sorry… I just wanted to visit, and then I heard her voice.” 

“You have nothing to apologize for.”

“For the whole day, yes,” he says with a smirk. “Why?” he asks, and I was unable to say the words.

“Nothing, really… I should just leave,” I say, heading for the door, but he whirled me around, pinning me against the wall.

“That’s not why I am here.” I lied, too shy to admit it.

“You are sore; I won’t like you limping. 

“Who cares, I want this, and you won’t deny me,” I say, giving him my best adorable look, and 

he blinks as if in a trance.

If Thane noticed the limp to my walk, he says nothing; no doubt he was well aware of where I had spent my day and how exactly I spent it. 

Thane walked to me, kissing me once on the lips.

“No, I had been a little… desperate; you don’t have to say the words if you don’t mean them” I said, remembering how I had literally begged him to say that he loved me, gosh I was desperate and now I could think of it, it was indeed embarrassing. “I should be satisfied with what we had.”
