It had been so long since I was alone in a room with Axel; I needed to talk to him; he couldn’t just drop a bombshell on me and walk away like that. But he was rather more interested in speaking about ‘the incident‘. 

“So this random guy just pops out of nowhere; you’ve never seen him before, and he’s like, Let’s go!

I thought he was one of us–a member of this pack–and I had been so bored, he offered to escort me anywhere I wanted to go, but then he brought up the idea; he made it seem like it had just occurred to him; I never knew it was all planned. I wanted to comfort him; I thought this was what a Luna was expected to do, but then…” I cut myself off.
