Chapter 123 

The doc had just finished stitching up the wound, explained a few words of precaution, and then left one after another. 

Maja took a deep breath, ignoring Leo and heading towards lan 

“Mr Raymond, remember the woman who smashed your car last time? She’s related to me” 

A sharp face instantly popped into lan’s mind 

“Uh–huh” 

Maja suddenly felt a little awkward and dropped her eyes. 

“Mr. Raymond, I will be responsible for the loss, but I dont have a lot of money now, can I deduct it from the cost of my design first, and I can pay you back in installments, is that cool?” 

For this project of lan, the design fee must be in the millions of dollars. If lan is willing to pay more, it may be around five million dollars. The Greenfield Gardens villa wasn’t exactly big, but it was very exquisite 

Looks like lan’s planning on sticking around there for a while, so if Maja puts in the extra effort, he might be willing to cough up more for the design. 

But either way it’s probably not gonna reach eight mill. 

Unless lan was willing to pay more. 

lan looked her up and down, but didn’t immediately agree. Maja felt awkward too, considering Olivia’s stunt last time had left a sour taste in everyone’s mouth. 

“Mr Raymond, I’ll include the interest too.” 

lan looked at his wounded hand, his tone flat. 

“Do you even know how much the daily interest is?” 

Maja knew the interest was gonna be steep, but what else could she do? 

Her dad gave her a bank card, but it only had a little over a mil on it. After all, Neil Pennyfeather was in the hospital at the time, he wouldn’t have had a high limit card on him. 

“I know.” 

“Do you always like taking the consequences for other people’s mistakes?” 

Ian had gotten up from the hospital bed, flexing his hurt hand, grimacing slightly from the pain. 

In his eyes, Maja was being a total idiot this time. 

Was she still renting? And she was willing to pay so much for a relative. 

With that kind of money, she could buy a pretty nice house in Greenfield. 

“Does your husband know about this?” 

And she was married too. Casually dishing out that much money for a relative, would her husband really not object? 

That was their shared property, could lead to a divorce. 

He was just asking out of curiosity, but Maja was taken aback when she heard this.. 

It felt unreal, she opened her mouth but couldn’t find the words to reply. 

lan was just giving a heads up, he didn’t want to pry further. 

He was about to leave when Maja caught up with him again. 

“Mr. Raymond, I’m sorry, just pretend that I didn’t say that, but I will find a way to give you the money, and I will pay you back within a week at the latest, so at the Crystalbrook Valley Police Station, can you help and tell them to keep her for a few more days before releasing her.” 

Daly was in trouble now. If Susan still planned on getting Olivia out, chances are she’d take another risk.
