Chapter 324 

Not too far from this bar, there’s a good–looking waiter. 

He cast a glance and happened to see Maja being dragged into a private room by two guys. 

It’s the only bar in town with no surveillance because it attracts all sorts of people and is always packed. There’s a big sign at the entrance saying – if you lose your stuff, the bar ain’t taking the blame. 

So most people come here for a bit of a thrill. 

The waitstaff here gets paid a lot more than those in other bars because they sometimes got to deal with customers getting handsy. 

Felix had a tray in his hand, but he didn’t really want to get involved, even though he recognized Maja, who was Carol’s good friend. 

But then Carol called to say she was coming to check out his workplace. 

Felix frowned. Now he had to step in. 

With a stern look, he quickly handed off the tray to a coworker and headed in the direction Maja was dragged. 

By then, Maja had been tossed into the room, her back slamming against the wall so hard it felt like her stomach would come up. 

She heard the two men talking in a daze. 

“Anything else Ms. Shepard asked for? Take her clothes off and take a picture.” 

They were about to undress Maja. 

Maja’s mind was a mess, but she grabbed a bottle off the table and smashed it against one guy’s head. 

The bottle shattered, and his head split open. 

Neither of them expected Maja to have that kind of strength. One of them raised his hand to strike her. 

But Maja blocked it with the remainder of the bottle, causing him to gasp in pain. 

Taking advantage of the moment, she ran to the door. But the two men were fast behind her. 

“Where do you think you’re going, bitch?” 

This wasn’t Maja’s first time dealing with this. Last time, lan saved her. But this time, she had to save herself! She’d rather die than let these two have their way! 

She held the broken bottle to her neck. 

The men were taken aback and froze, afraid she’d slit her throat. 

The jagged bottle, now just half its size, was in her hand. The sharp edge had punctured her skin, blood trickling down and standing out starkly. 

Maja gripped the bottle tightly, smirking coldly at the two men. 

“Take one step closer, and I’ll slit my throat.” 

She’d rather choose death than be humiliated by them. 

The pain snapped her back to reality. She realized that the men were actually somewhat panicked when she threatened to kill herself. 

Maja sensed that they were afraid she’d die. She was still lan’s wife. If she died, Holden would surely investigate. 

But if she were raped, she would struggle to talk about it and would have to bear it silently. 

What a cruel scheme. 

“Do you think we’d care if you die?” 

“Yeah! If you have the guts, kill yourself!” 

Maja closed her eyes and pressed harder. 

The blood on her neck flowed more freely, but her facial expression grew calmer. 

“Leave now, or I’ll kill myself in front of you. I believe the Raymond family won’t let you off the hook.” 

The two men exchanged glances, both somewhat panicked. She was really determined. 

But they had no choice. They had been instructed that they could toy with her, but they couldn’t let her die. 

“You’re ruthless!” 

With an angry curse, the two men exited the room. 

The moment the door closed, Maja felt weak. Her forehead was covered in cold sweat, and she felt dizzy and nauseous. 

She quickly searched for her phone but found it wasn’t on her. After a while of searching the room, she found it under the couch. She picked up the phone and called Carol. 

Not far outside the door, Felix didn’t come in. Of course, he wouldn’t help Maja just because of Carol. Avoiding trouble is always best. After all, he just got a call from Carol saying her boss asked her to work overtime, and she couldn’t make it. 

If that’s the case, why should he bother? 

Felix is tall. Wearing the uniform of the waitstaff here, he has a certain charm. 

He chuckled softly and left, deciding not to get involved anymore.
