Fitch clearly couldn’t give two hoots about the situation. He strolled past her nonchalantly, heading straight for a nearby private booth. 

Maja had to give it to herself. She was doing an impressive job of pretending to keep her cool as she bent down to pick up the items scattered on the floor. 

Tyler was about to squat down and lend a hand, but lan’s cold voice stopped him in his tracks. 

“You go ahead.” 

Tyler raised an eyebrow, a wicked grin on his face. “Oh boy, someone’s in for it now.” 

Maja felt a chill run down her spine. Carol had really screwed her over this time. 

Once Tyler left, it was just lan and Maja. 

One of the tiny toys had landed near lan’s foot. Maja tried to retrieve it, only to be gently trapped under lan’s shiny shoe. 

He squatted down, studying her face. 

Despite the awkward situation, Maja did her best to keep her cool. Who would have guessed that Carol would prepare something like this? She tugged at the small toy, but lan didn’t let go. 

She took a deep breath and said, “Mr. Raymond, if you like it, it’s yours.” 

As she tried to stand up, he grabbed her chin. 

Pain shot through her, and she winced. 

“Missed me so much after just two days?” 

He picked up the object and scrutinized it. 

At least everything was still in its packaging. 

“Who were you planning to use this with?” 

She was on the verge of tears, her eyes welling up, making her look pitiful. 

Just then, Shawn Walsh came rushing over, calling out, “Penny.” 

Seeing lan, Shawn’s pupils constricted. He didn’t know who lan was, but that powerful aura wasn’t something he wanted to mess with. 

Now Maja was being held by the chin, the tension between them palpable. 

After a moment’s hesitation, Shawn finally stepped forward. 

lan had already let go of Maja at this point, his gaze now on Shawn. 

Shawn remembered what Carol had told him. Maja was in trouble, and he should try to pull her away. 

But Maja spoke up, “Shawn Walsh, you should go.” 

Shawn paused, looking at lan, before finally asking, “Are you okay?” 

Maja gave him a soft smile, “I,” 

Before she could finish, lan grabbed her, and they headed for the nearby elevator. 

It reminded lan of what Tyler had said – if she could cheat on you, she could cheat with anyone else. This kind of woman had no moral bottom line. 

As soon as the elevator doors closed, Jan swiped his card and selected the top floor. 

The top floor of the BlueSky Bar was never open to the general public. 

Maja’s legs were trembling slightly. Just as she was about to explain, lan kissed her. 

“Mr. Raymond.” 

lan bit her lip harshly, “Just two days, and you’ve found another one. Is your husband not enough for you? Or am I not enough for you?” 

He sneered, glancing at the box in her hand. 

“If you hadn’t run into me tonight, were you planning to play with that young star?” 

Maja didn’t respond. She wanted to say it was a gift from someone else, but who would gift something like this? lan would just assume it was from 

Shawn. 

Why was lan mad? 

She really didn’t understand. 

Maja was taken to a luxurious suite, its grandeur on par with lan’s hotel room. 

As soon as the door shut, she was pinned against it. 

Before the lights were even turned on, the room was already filled with intense heat.
