No sooner had Maja finished handling the Pennyfeather group’s files than she got a call from Shawn. 

Shawn asked her to meet up in a coffee shop, and not just any coffee shop – a fancy one. 

Before she headed off to the cafe, Maja had urged the court to let her and Edith face off as soon as possible. If it was not possible, she wanted compensation, and pronto. 

She was determined not to let that whole painting debacle slide. 

Then she went to the coffee shop 

Shawn was dressed to the nines–clearly, he’d put some effort into his appearance. 

As soon as he saw Maja, he stood up 

“Penny” 

Maja nodded at him, but before she could get a word out, he said, “I’m game if it’s you 

Shawn wasn’t the macho type he was more of a softie. His gentleness reminded Maja of someone from her past. 

Memories flooded her mind, and she was momentarily lost in her thoughts.. 

Coincidentally, Shawn echoed a phrase used by that person from her past.

Maja was gripping her coffee cup when a hot cup of coffee was thrown directly into Shawn’s face 

The coffee shop was reservation–only, so the place was devoid of commoners and paparazzi. Only the rich and celebrities could get in. Shawn had taken off his hat and mask after entering, and at that moment the rich coffee was slowly trickling down his cheeks

Simstar Entertainment had been in the entertainment industry for over a decade and was a well–established company that had groomed many stars

Funfly was like a sleazy middle–aged man, just in a woman’s body. 

The last time she referred to was when she had someone rough Shawn up before shooting his TV series. To cover up the injuries on his face, he had to apply heavy makeup. That made him look overly done up on screen and attracted a lot of criticism. Even after all that time, haters were still using screenshots from that series to bash him 

Shawn looked upset but also worried about Maja, so he tried to stand in front of her 

Maja moved him behind her and turned to face Funfly. 

Assuming Maja was just a fan of Shawn, Funfly waved her hand, “Take her away and give her a stern warning. I want to see who else dares to harass Shawn” 

Shawn was the apple of Funfly’s eyes. Once his contract with the Miller family ended, she was willing to pay any price to get him to join Simatar Entertainment. 

Before she could finish her sentence, the door of the cafe was pushed open, and lan walked in 

Her face immediately changed, and she humedly greeted him.
