Whenever Beck mentioned his sister, it was as if he was talking about a massive headache. 

“My parents spoil her rotten, my brother listens to her every whim, and whatever she wants, the Sanders family will bend over backwards to get it. She used to be into jewellery design, but now she’s got this thing about Windhelm’s oil paintings and even wants me to find her a master painter.” 

“A master painter, you mean Herbert, right? His paintings are a big deal.” 

Beck chuckled, “Yeah, Herbert. But he’s quirky, won’t change his mind for anyone.” 

Everyone instinctively looked at Maja. 

By now, everyone knew that Maja was Herbert’s protégé. 

But Maja didn’t budge. She just sat there, silently staring at the wine bottle on the coffee table. 

Seeing her like this, Carlene started to stir the pot. 

“Penny’s his favourite. If you want to see Herbert, just give her a holler.” 

But everyone knew that Herbert didn’t give a rat’s ass about money, and he was as stubborn as a mule. He might even reject his own student. Carlene deliberately threw this question at Maja, then smirked. 

Beck turned to Maja, who smiled back at him, “Mr. Sanders, I can talk to my teacher, but if he’s not interested, there’s not much I can do.” But Beck’s next remark made the atmosphere a bit awkward. 

“Since Penny is Herbert’s favourite, why not have you teach my sister? How about you come with me to North America when you have time? My sister is driving me nuts.” 

Maja was swamped. The Star Movie group could have problems at any moment, she hadn’t secured any resources for Shawn, and the only way the group was making money was by investing in small web dramas. This couldn’t go on forever, and they needed to break into the circle. 

Beck pulled out his business card. 

“Penny, you must have heard of my family’s company. If you come with me, I promise to meet your every need.”

This was the world’s largest entertainment company. They used to have a monopoly in the industry, and the major projects they’ve developed have become popular amusement parks worldwide.

There was a flash of confusion in lan’s eyes. He immediately denied it. 

“I don’t know Ms. Sanders well.” 

Beck assumed he didn’t want to mention his dealings with another woman in front of Penny. 

After all, they had been corresponding by letter. His sister had admitted as much. 

His gaze returned to Maja. 

“Ms. Penny, would you like to come with me to North America?” 

Maja really wanted to go, but lan’s presence was too overwhelming, so she reluctantly declined.

She hadn’t been there long, and after taking a call from Zoey, she was ready to leave.
