Of the Internet stories I have ever read, perhaps the most impressive one is Dear Ex-wife Marry Me (Maja and Ian). The story is too good, leaving me with many doubts. Currently, the manga has been translated to Chapter 713. Let's read the author's Dear Ex-wife Marry Me (Maja and Ian) Internet story right here.
Chapter 713
Next morning in the early hours when Maja was still dreaming, lan dragged her out of the bed.
“We’re going shopping for holiday stuff.”
Maja had been kept up by him till the wee hours, so she was exhausted. When she was put in the car, she felt like she couldn’t move a muscle and could only doze off leaning on his shoulder.
lan moved her to a more comfortable position, busying himself with some papers while holding her up with one hand to stop her head from falling. When they got to the mall, he found the doors shut tight. That was when it hit Jeff.
“Boss, seems like this mall doesn’t open till nine.”
It was only seven now, and the mall doors were still shut.
Jeff had never been to a mall, so he couldn’t inform the boss earlier, a clear oversight on his part.
lan and Maja had never been to a mall in the morning either, so both were clueless about this.
So, when they heard Jeff, Maja cracked her eyes open and couldn’t help but chuckle.
“Mr. Raymond, shall we head back first?”
The mall wouldn’t open for another two hours.
lan just kept his head down, looking at the papers in his hand, “We’ll wait till it opens.”
At that moment, Maja felt that he was a bit like a very stubborn kid.
When kids wanted something, they can’t wait for it, always hoping to get it right away.
She couldn’t resist, quietly reaching out to hold his hand.
He was still holding a pen in his hand, still in his usual sharp suit, but her sudden move made him stiffen for a moment, then he instantly dropped the pen and held her hand, asking,
“What’s up?”
He looked at her hand in his palm, she was not usually that straightforward.
Last night, Maja was under him, at his mercy, but in her daze, she seemed to feel scars on his back, not sure if they were old or recent.
She wanted to ask him about the scars, but lan’s phone rang just then. Seeing the caller ID, his brow furrowed.
Maja saw it too; it was a call from Selena.
Her words choked back in her throat, remembering a week ago in this mall, how Selena had humiliated her.
“Mom.”
lan had barely spoken when Selena cut him off, “Come for dinner tonight, your dad will be back too. Help me talk him out of divorcing me when you’re here. Ian, about Eric, did you look into it properly? I really miss him especially at this time of the year.”
lan’s eyes were cold as ice. He learned about these relationships from Jeff. The person on the phone was his mother, while his brother was dead.
“I won’t be coming for dinner.”
Selena broke down instantly.
“It’s Christmas today, and you’re not coming home for dinner? What will the rest of the Raymond family say about me? That I can’t even keep a son, let alone a husband. Ian, how can you be so heartless! Are you trying to make me the laughingstock of everyone? Your dad is divorcing me, and you couldn’t care less. I really want to ask you; do you still consider me as your mother?”
lan’s gaze became even colder, but deep down, he began to feel a pang.
He kept his lips sealed; his whole demeanor icy cold.
Selena was oblivious to all this, and she made another spiteful suggestion.
“Right, I met Maja last week, you need to find a chance to sleep with her again, get her pregnant, then ditch her mercilessly. I want to make Lillian regret even in her grave.”
lan had no recollection of this person named Maja. He was divorced when he had the accident, so Jeff never mentioned his ex–wife.
So, he was a bit confused, who was Maja?
