She had someone look up the location where Leo got into trouble, and it wasn’t long before she had the area nailed down. 

There were quite a few cameras in this area. Connie acted there without considering the consequences, just wanting to give Leo a hard time. Maja approached the man in charge of one of the cameras, but he beat around the bush and wouldn’t hand over the footage from that night. 

“Did someone order you to do this?” 

The man immediately bowed his head and said, “I’m sorry, the footage has been deleted. All the footage from that night has been wiped clean. You’re a step behind” 

Maja didn’t buy it, so she checked the other cameras, only to find they had indeed been wiped clean. 

She felt a pang of disappointment and immediately realized that it was lan’s people who did it. 

She glanced around, hoping to spot a camera they might have missed, but there was none. 

If tan’s people were behind it, they would have done a thorough job. 

When Maja got back to her car, she gripped the steering wheel tightly. 

Her heart was racing, and at this moment, Connie called. 

“Maja, I heard you were checking the surveillance?” 

Maja didn’t answer, and Connie kept talking. 

“My cousin had the surveillance deleted a while ago; you won’t find it. I’m at Raymond Mansion right now; do you want to come over and talk?” 

“Talk about what? Connie, you hate me so much; we have nothing to talk about.” 

“Suit yourself, I just wanted to say that I overheard two kidnappers talking at Solstice Spire, and it seemed to be related to your mom.” This was bait. 

Maja had just learned from Leo that Lillian might still be alive, and what Connie said now caught her attention. 

So she went to Raymond Mansion. She also had things she wanted to discuss with Connie. 

Raymond Mansion was not crowded today; when Maja walked in, even the doors to the lobby on the first floor were slightly ajar. 

She stepped inside and saw Connie standing on the second floor, looking down at her coldly. 

“Maja, we really need to talk.” 

Maja slowly climbed the stairs, and just as she stood beside Connie, Selena walked out of a room nearby. 

Probably not expecting Maja to show up at Raymond Mansion, Selena screamed. 

“You shameless woman, how dare you show up here!” 

She was about to rush over to Maja. 

Maja dodged, but she saw Connie suddenly push Selena down the stairs. 

Selena hit her head on the sharp corner of the stairs on the first floor, passed out, the back of her head covered in blood, and lay motionless on the ground. Before Maja could react, she saw Connie grab a vase from the side and hand it to her. 

“Connie, what are you doing?” 

No sooner had she spoken than Connie picked up another vase and smashed it on her own head. 

Blood immediately covered her head, then she screamed and ran downstairs, even tripping and faling halfway, shouting embarrassingly, “Help! Maja wants to kill 

me 

Suddenly, the once–quiet Raymond Mansion was full of servants. Seeing the scene, everyone started screaming. 

Connie smashed her head with a vase and fell down the stairs; she was hanging by a thread. 

“Call the police! Quick, call the police! Maja wants to kill us!” 

The servants quickly called the police, and when they arrived at Raymond Mansion, they directly handcuffed Maja. 

Only when she felt the cold handcuffs on her wrists did Maja come back to her senses. 

She couldn’t believe that Connie would push Selena down the stairs or that Connie would smash herself in the head with a vase. Even knowing Connie’s mentality had changed, she never thought Connie would be so ruthless toward Selena. 

That was her elder, the one who watched her grow up, the mother of her cousin, whom she cared about.
