Maja dashed down to the kitchen in the basement but found the fridge in Greenfield Gardens was empty.

She bolted out the door, zooming to the nearest supermarket to grab some grub.

From shopping to cooking, it only took her twenty minutes.

When the tacos were plonked in front of Ian, he eyed them with a furrowed brow.

"You whipped these up so fast?"

Maja sat down, her face alight with anticipation. "Yeah, give it a shot."

Ian looked at her, his face turning cold.

"Is this the junk you're trying to fob me off with?"

"I haven't made them for anyone else."

That seemed to take the wind out of his sails.

"Really?" Ian's lips twitched into a smirk. "Actually, these look pretty yummy."

No sooner had he taken the first bite, Maja popped the question.

"Ian, can I borrow your private jet?"

Ian almost choked on his food.

His eyes turned cold, and he considered dropping the food.

In the next moment, Maja swiped a napkin from the side and wiped his mouth.

He froze, as if he'd been hit with a stun gun, and didn't dare to move.

After cleaning up, Maja put the napkin back on the tray.

"I have a thing I need to do and might need your private jet, probably the day after tomorrow."

"Just one jet?"

Maja nodded.

"Can you make breakfast tomorrow morning?"

"Sure."

Once she was sure Ian agreed, Maja immediately whipped out her phone to call Cornelia and tell her about the plan.

Shawn, Wilma, and Elvis had all had their fifteen minutes, so they were always in the limelight. If anything happened to them, it would cause a media frenzy. So, Zoey, who worked behind the scenes, was the perfect target.

Especially since she was Maja's assistant. If anything happened to Zoey, Maja would lose important support.

Maja immediately called Zoey, asking her if there were any suspicious characters around.

That nutcase, Alma, could strike at any moment.

Zoey was still at work, not home yet.

"Nope, just me and a few overtime workers." Zoey replied.

"Zoey, don't go home tonight. I'll have Cornelia come over. We need to put on a little show tonight." Maja said.

After saying this, Maja got up and looked at Ian, who was sitting on the bed.

"I've got some stuff to deal with."

"Come see me tomorrow."

After saying this, Ian was worried he sounded too harsh, so he added

"At least for the sake of the private jet."
