Once Shawn was out of sight, Maja immersed herself in the digital paperwork on her computer.

Yet, an unsettling sensation was gnawing at her, distracting her from her work until she had to attend a top-level meeting. She had to force herself to ignore her body's discomfort.

The meeting lasted for three hours, and by the time it ended, it was already afternoon.

She got a message from Ryan, saying that Omar was hospitalized and would be incapacitated for several months.

"Everyone is saying that your ex-husband had a fight with him. The Raymonds and the Cassons have never crossed paths in business. Did he do this because of you?"

"Yes."

"Now that things have come to this. You guys aren't even together anymore. What's the point of all this drama? Both of you are so stubborn!"

Maja opened her mouth to ask something but decided against it.

Ryan continued on the other end.

"If he didn't like you, why would he risk upsetting Omar, that mad dog? Do you know how many people in the circle fear Omar? Those in the Casson family who looked down on him have almost all been wiped out by him. If he weren't worried about attracting attention from the higher-ups, he could probably annihilate the Casson family all by himself and then comfortably take over their spot."

Ryan rambled on, then asked with a puzzled tone.

"Didn't your ex ever tell you that he's still in love with you?"

"Ryan, do you know Judith?"

"Yes, I don't know what your ex-husband is thinking, keeping a woman like that around. Maybe he's trying to push you to act, but you're good at keeping your cool. So, he's just shooting himself in the foot."

Maja wasn't sure if Ryan's speculation was on point. First, it was Darlene, now it's Judith. She didn't want to misconstrue his actions.

Ryan narrowed his eyes, suddenly hatching a plan.

"Let's go out for drinks tonight. Funfly took another hit, so you should be free tonight."

"Okay."

After hanging up, Maja returned to her online perusal of public opinion.

Now all she had to do was wait for the final resolution from Simstar Entertainment.

Anyway, Simstar Entertainment's reputation was already in ruins after this debacle.

The trending topics were all about celebrities wanting to terminate their contracts with Simstar Entertainment. Maja just had to add fuel to the fire.

She logged into her Twitter account and directly tagged the official account of the relevant department.

Omar was useless, not even able to take Maja down! Instead, he got himself hospitalized!

Funfly was trembling with anger. Knowing that it was Ian who put Omar in the hospital, she no longer dared to take on Maja alone. So, she quickly turned to Judith.

"Ms. Sanders, have you heard? Ian stepped in for Maja."

Judith's expression darkened, especially after learning about Omar's character, her eyes filled with cold fury.

Originally, she just wanted to play a game of cat and mouse with Maja, never really taking the woman seriously.

But now, with Ian openly stepping in, it felt like a slap in her face.

Everyone in the circle knew that she, Judith, was pursuing Ian.
