There was no other way for the time being. 

“Mr. Brown, can you give me an address? this point, I don’t think there’s room for me to say no.” 

Samuel smiled, he liked how Maja kept her head cool in tough situations. 

It was said that Kurt was under her spell and her relationship with lan was pretty intriguing, Taming a woman like her would be a real kick. 

“Penny, I’ll have a car come pick you up.” 

Arrow Heights 

Maja, just out of the car, saw Samuel standing outside, a big bunch of roses in his hand. He was dressed in a white suit, looking pretty charming. Samuel walked over to her with the flowers. 

“Penny, these are for you.” 

Maja didn’t take them, just smiled, “Mr. Brown, are you this nice to all your business partners?” 

“In my eyes, you’re more than just a partner. Come on, I’ve reserved the biggest private room inside, heard it has a killer view of all of Greenfield.” 

Even after being rejected, Samuel didn’t feel awkward. 

As they entered the hall, he casually handed the roses to the receptionist, which made her blush. 

Arrow Heights was pretty famous in the capital, a hit among business partners, and from the top private rooms, you could really take in the view of the whole capital. Seemed like rich folks were into this kind of flashy stuff. 

Samuel’s eyes swept over Maja, her aura was cold but captivating. 

As they were waiting for the elevator, they ran into another group of people. Leading the group was lan, next to him were Fitch and Mia Haskins, and also Tyler who they had met at the casino previously. Looked like they were also here for dinner tonight. 

lan was still sporting his icy demeanor. His gaze lingered on Maja for a moment, then shifted away. 

Tyler, who was chatting with lan, noticed his gaze and turned to look. He saw Maja. 

“You?” 

Before lan could say something, Tyler beat him to it. He had a cute mole on the tip of his nose, and his eyes lit up, “What a coincidence, you’re here for dinner too?” 

Then, his gaze fell on Samuel. Samuel’s reputation wasn’t the best, just like Kurt’s. If she really liked lan, why would she be with someone like him? 

But Tyler came up with a new explanation quickly. Seemed like she knew lan would be here, that was why she came. 

Maja ran into her clients, and she couldn’t pretend she didn’t see them, so she nodded politely. 

“Hello.” 

Before she could finish, Mia couldn’t hold back anymore. 

“This cunning woman got me into a police station! And she badmouthed our Haskins family in front of so many people!” 

Mia felt like she had never been so embarrassed before, she couldn’t even face her classmates these days, all because of that woman. 

And now she ran into her again. 

Maja heard Mia’s repeated insults,. She furrowed her brows slightly, then lightly laughed. 

“Mia, you accused me of stealing your bracelet in public, then played innocent when you were exposed. You truly brought shame to the Haskins family that day, and now, you’re continuing to embarrass them.” 

Her tone was light; seeing that the elevator had arrived, she courteously said to Samuel. 

“Mr. Brown, please.” 

“Ladies first.” 

Maja didn’t stand on ceremony and entered the elevator first. 

Samuel smiled, “Mr. Raymond, after you.” 

The elevator was spacious enough for all of them. 

But Mia had been mocked by Maja again, and she was pretty pissed. “I won’t go in, I can’t stand being in the same elevator as this woman!” 

As soon as she finished speaking, lan walked in and stood as far from Maja as possible, Tyler also walked in. 

“lan” Mia turned pale, feeling super awkward. She lifted her head to look at her brother. Fitch had a cold look, an indescribable gloominess about him, like a dangerous vampire in a dark forest 

He took a step forward, leaving Mia alone outside in an awkward situation 

Maja was standing closest to the elevator buttons, seeing Mia, she couldn’t help asking 

“Aren’t you coming in?”
