The car’s horn honked twice, and the lights came on. 

Jeff sat back into the car, casually rolling down the window. 

“Also, Mr. Pennyfeather no longer has to call Holden. Holden’s unwell, and if anything goes sideways, the Pennyfeather family would be held responsible.” 

If it was all about emphasizing status just now, then it’s already a warning, warning for the Pennyfeathers not to meddle too much. 

Neil was so pissed off that he didn’t know how to react. His fingers started trembling. 

On the other hand, Tricia rushed forth, her face flushed with excitement. 

“Mr. Raymond.” 

She peered through the glass window, her face full of infatuation.

to lan. 

Reluctantly, Tricia closed her mouth, but she couldn’t take her eyes off the car. 

lan didn’t bother looking at her. He simply told Jeff, “Let’s hit the road.” 

Jeff nodded and stepped on the gas. 

The car slowly pulled away, leaving the Pennyfeathers standing still in their tracks. 

The first to break the silence was Cristina.. 

“Honey, if it weren’t for Maja Pennyfeather, we wouldn’t be in this awkward position. Remember what Selena Casson said last time? Now, with lan’s attitude, it seems that only Holden in the Raymond family likes Maja.” 

As Cristina spoke, her eyes never left her daughter. 

Tricia’s cheeks were flushed with excitement, aware that her intentions were now known., 

But that’s okay, her Mom would help her. 

“Honey, we need to come up with a plan. lan has someone he likes. He was quite close to that person from the Shepard family. She looks a lot like Tricia. If lan doesn’t like Maja, should we let Tricia give it a shot?” 

The purpose of her words was clear to create an opportunity for Tricia. 

Neil was utterly shocked, seemingly unable to believe what Cristina had just proposed. 

What was Cristina implying? Maja wasn’t even divorced yet, and she was creating an opportunity for lan to cheat?!

With that, he stormed off into the mansion. 

Outside, Cristina glanced at her daughter. 

Tricia clearly didn’t take Neil’s words to heart and instead, she spoke with a hint of grievance. 

“Mom, I’ve liked Mr. Raymond for many years now. I believe my sincerity can win him over. He doesn’t seem to like Carlene Shepard, otherwise, why haven’t they gotten back together after all these years? I think he just hasn’t met the one he truly likes. I want to give it a try.” 

Since Maja couldn’t be his partner, then she shouldn’t occupy that position. 

Cristina had always planned for her daughter to marry lan, but because Maja had saved Holden, and Tricia’s health was poor, she never took action. 

But now, since her daughter wanted this position, Maja should step aside. It was what she owed Tricia. 

“Tricia, be patient. I will help you figure something out.” 

A glint flashed in Tricia’s eyes, her cheeks flushing even more. It was as if she was about to be with lan. 

Meanwhile, in the car afar, lan was looking at a picture Ryan Elston had–sent him on his phone. 

He was familiar with the composition and immediately recognized it as the one she had taken. He not only photographed it but also drew it.
