Athena's eyes lit up with surprise as she tried to stand up quickly, but after crouching in the same spot for so long, her legs had gone numb. She stumbled forward, almost falling.

Tyler caught her just in time, frowning deeply.

"Are you out of your mind? Waiting here for so long?"

"The security wouldn't let me in," she replied.

Tyler took a deep breath and glanced at the bouncer.

"Remember her face from now on. Let her through."

"Sure thing, Tyler. Whatever you say."

Athena caught a whiff of whiskey from him. "Have you been drinking? It's a bit late to make a full meal, but I can whip up some hangover soup for you."

She helped him walk, and after about ten minutes, they reached the entrance of his villa.

Tyler's place had a fingerprint lock, but he had already sent the code to Athena's phone. Once they were inside, perhaps it was the alcohol talking, but he found the scent of her hair intoxicating.

Suddenly, he pulled her close, lifting the hem of her dress. "Have you taken a shower?"

Athena blushed. "Yes, I have."

Without further ado, Tyler slipped her dress off.

Athena leaned in to kiss him, but he turned his head away. "I'm not into kissing."

He also wasn’t one for foreplay. He preferred to get straight to the point.

Athena lowered her eyes, "Alright, I'll get used to it."

Despite not being fond of Athena's personality, Tyler found their encounters thoroughly satisfying.

Afterward, he retreated to his private bathroom for a shower. Athena tentatively followed him but he didn’t like sharing the bathroom, so he gently pushed her back out.

"Wait outside until I'm done."

Left alone in the bedroom, Athena took a moment to observe her surroundings. It was her first time in his personal space, and the decor was a bit different from what she imagined.

She remained standing, waiting for Tyler to emerge.

"That's more like it," she cooed, pleased with his answer.

After hanging up, Tyler called a couple of his drinking buddies.

Though Ian and Fitch were his closest friends, their hectic schedules often kept them busy, so they rarely joined him for drinks.

The voice on the other end teased, "Who’s the lucky one tonight?"

Leaning on the railing, Tyler thought of Athena, feeling a twinge of annoyance. "Just someone who threw themselves at me. I didn’t expect to hook up three times."

"Wow, that’s unlike you. You usually ditch them after twice. Are you going soft?"

"No, she claims she's trying to win me over."

Laughter erupted on the other end. "Seriously?"

"Yeah, she even came over to cook for me. It’s kind of amusing."

His tone wasn't one of admiration, but rather of someone watching an amusing spectacle unfold.
