Maja successfully dodged Dana’s attack, grabbed her wrist, and snatched the dagger from her hand. 

The hospital security saw the dangerous situation, and two guards immediately rushed over, quickly subduing Dana. 

Dana’s eyes were fixed on Maja. 

“You’re not getting away with this!” 

Maja frowned. Dana was just fired. Was it really such a big blow to her? 

Tears began streaming down Dana’s face as she said, “He actually helped you! You must have some dirty secrets! You must have seduced him, you tramp! You’ll get what’s coming to you!” 

Maja found it somewhat amusing. Now she understood. Dana must have been upset about lan. 

After being fired, she must have gone to see lan and got shocked. 

Fed up with her incessant insults, Maja walked over while the security subdued her and without hesitation, slapped her twice. 

Dana was stunned by this sudden attack, looking at Maja incredulously. 

“You dare hit me?” 

Maja chuckled, knowing that Dana would probably be going to the police station soon and then have Carlene bail her out. Dana would easily get out once someone from the Shepard family stepped in. 

But Maja just couldn’t let it go. 

“Yes, I hit you. Even if lan were to choose a woman, it wouldn’t be you. And he’s seen you in such a pathetic state. Do you still have the face to go find him? I bet every time he sees your face, he’ll remember how you cried in front of everyone. You’re both pathetic and dirty.” 

Dana’s eyes widened, provoked by this statement, and she tried to pounce on Maja. 

But the security stopped her. 

“Bitch, you wait!” 

Maja ignored her, got in her car, and left. 

Half an hour later, Carlene received a call from Dana. 

“Carlene, you have to bail me out.” 

Carlene frowned when she heard that Dana had gone to cause trouble for Maja, even bringing a knife to stab her. 

“Did you stab her?” 

“No, she dodged it. Carlene, call lan for me and ask him to come save me. The police said I might go to jail.” 

Carlene was irritated that Dana hadn’t managed to stab Penny! 

Her actions had caused nothing but trouble! 

But if she didn’t help Dana, the Shepard family would suspect her influence over lan. 

Over the years, she had relied on her relationship with lan to be valued among the many relatives of the Shepard family. 

She took a deep breath and immediately called lan, trying to make her tone sound as gentle as possible. 

“lan, Dana is in trouble at the police station, but I’m still in the hospital and can’t leave. Can you help me get her out?” 

lan was about to return to the Raymond family and was passing the police station that Carlene mentioned. 

He thought it was just a small matter, so he didn’t refuse. 

At the police station entrance, Jeff went in to handle the paperwork. 

When he came out, Dana followed Jeff, sobbing continuously. 

She thought lan would pick her up, but her crying stopped abruptly, full of joy. 

But lan didn’t show up. Instead, Jeff got in the car and drove off. 

Dana was left standing there, fuming. 

However, upon remembering that it was lan who bailed her out, she immediately felt smug and rushed to Maja’s place, RosenGarden, waiting at the entrance. 

Maja wasn’t as fast as Dana in getting back. When she saw Dana standing at the gate, she frowned. 

Dana had seen Maja’s car at the hospital and recognized the license plate, so she didn’t hesitate to stop her. 

She stood in the middle of the road, sure that Maja wouldn’t dare to hit her. 

Maja stopped. She rolled down a window, and Dana immediately stood at the window to gloat. 

“lan bailed me out. I bet you didn’t see that coming. You’re just his hired designer; you’re nothing to him.” 

Maja slowly picked up a water bottle beside her, took a sip, and then splashed it out the window. 

The next second, she closed the window, reversed, and went to the Raymond Corporation, leaving Dana screaming on the spot. 

Arriving at the Raymond Corporation and heading up to the top floor, she ran into Jeff. 

It was already evening, and Jeff was surprised to see her. 

“Penny, are you here to see Mr. Raymond? I just dropped him off at Raymond Mansion; his wife needed him for something. He’ll be back at the company in two hours. Mr. Raymond has a meeting tonight. You can wait in the office on the top floor.” 

Maja felt upset but went to the office anyway. 

Two hours later, lan indeed arrived. 

As he walked in, he saw her sitting on the office sofa, reading a financial newspaper.
