lan didnt know how to react for a moment 

Sure, held had women confess their feelings to him before, but he d always turned them down without hesitation But she was different They had shared an intimate moment before

lan saw that she didnt get his hint, so he paused for a moment 

“In fact, my wife and I are quite in love” 

The word “wife was a strange word for him, actually
