“Spit it out” When Maja didn’t respond, lan bumped into her abruptly while carefully cradling her hand. “Penny, you’re pretty great in all respects, just a bit shortsighted.” Maja simply closed her eyes, hoping he’d finish up soon 

Because she was injured, lan didn’t overdo it. He even wiped sweat from her forehead when he was done. 

This time around, Maja wasn’t tossed around by him. Because he was concerned about her injury, he stuck to one position and one direction, inevitably leaving something to be desired 

She was getting the short end of the stick. 

Because it was already round eight 

Exhausted, Maja glanced at her phone. It was only two in the morning. 

“You’re really not going to give me your personal phone number?” lan tried to reach for her phone, but Maja quickly put it in her bag. 

lan’s satisfied expression disappeared instantly. He looked at her coldly. 

He’d been holding back, making sure she enjoyed herself. Her face even showed pleasure midway through. Now that it was over, she wouldn’t even give him her phone 

number 

lan suddenly felt a sense of defeat. 

He could find out everything he wanted if he tried, but he wanted her to give it willingly. 

Did she enjoy the fun and now play cold? 

lan was getting impatient and felt defeated. 

Maja was like a no–strings–attached guy, putting on her pants right after wrapping up. 

She put on her pants smoothly, but because her hand was injured, she couldn’t fasten her bra. 

Men can unhook a bra with one hand, but women can’t hook a bra with one hand. 

She tried several times and didn’t want to bother lan, who was watching the show. 

lan was waiting for her to ask for help, but she didn’t say a word. 

He was originally amused, but in the end, he felt like he shot himself in the foot. 

When Maja was still struggling, a hand slowly reached behind her and fastened the hook. 

She was about to put on her shirt, but he rested his chin on her shoulder, holding her in this position. 

“Are you leaving?” 

Maja had an illusion that he was reluctant to let her go. 

She tensed up, then found it amusing. 

“Mr. Raymond, you’re making me think you’ve fallen for me.” 

lan let go of her at that: “Do you think I’d fall for a married woman?” 

Maja picked up her coat and nodded, “I thought so. You wouldn’t–be that irrational.” 

“Are there still cars outside at this hour?” 

“Don’t worry about it. There are plenty of cars at the hotel entrance.” 

lan was taken aback by her stubbornness. 

Since Penny had already said so, lan didn’t bother getting up. 

Maja picked up her bag and was ready to leave. 

“You really are not giving me your personal number? Am I not even equal to Samuel in your heart?” 

Asking this, lan was surprised, then laughed. “I’m just kidding. Your work number is fine. After all, we only have two more times. I’ll probably get sick of you soon.” 

Maja felt relieved. lan was indeed an excellent bed partner, but so what? Finding a good man wasn’t hard. 

Without a word, she opened the door and left. 

lan stared at the closed bedroom door, silent for a while, then threw the pillow she had slept on. 

The pillow hit the door with a bang. 

Then he lay down, gazing at the ceiling with a gloomy look. 

Maja took a cab back to Rosewood Manor, paying two hundred bucks for the fare. 

After lying in bed, her mind was blank, and her muscles relaxed. 

The afterglow of gentle lovemaking was more intense than passionate ones. 

But because of the child she was forced to abort, any feelings Maja had for lan were buried by indifference. 

So she fell asleep quickly.
