She’d long known where lan’s room was, and now she was upstairs, getting ready to knock on his door. 

lan thought it was Maja coming back, there was a glint of joy in his eyes. 

Carlene had turned on the recording function on her phone before she knocked on the door. She continued to knock. 

lan opened the door, and the joy in his eyes disappeared when he saw her. 

“lan, there’s trouble! Maja has fallen into the water! You want to go check it out? It’s a total mess downstairs!”

She didn’t believe that after hearing this recording, Maja would still have any thoughts about lan. 

lan was in his room, feeling very annoyed. After taking a shower, he felt her scent on the bed when he lay down.

Samuel picked up the phone, had the hospital staff blow it dry, and then handed it back to her. 

At eight in the morning, Maja woke up, but she started to have a fever. 

The doctor came over to give her an IV. She sat in bed, her face pale.
