Ian grabbed the painkillers and fetched a glass of water, only to turn around and see her weakly slumped on the couch. His brain seemed to freeze for a second, a vague sense of familiarity flashing through his mind, yet nothing concrete. 

“Swallow.” 

He roughly shoved the pill in, but Maja was in so much pain she was barely conscious, and out popped the pill as she gave a tongue flick. 

lan frowned, his patience running thin, he directly pushed the pill down her throat with his finger. 

She looked like she was about to hurl, he quickly retracted his finger, then forcefully covered her mouth. 

Maja glared at him, her forehead slick with sweat. 

lan lowered his eyes, noticing his hand still covering her mouth, his two fingers that had been in her mouth were still wet, it was her saliva. 

His germaphobe tendencies didn’t kick in, he even found the sight somewhat enticing. 

He quickly removed his hand, racking his brain but still couldn’t recall how he used to be with her. 

He took the glass of water and poured it into her mouth.
