“This matter has nothing to do with you.” 

lan found it a tad ironic. He’d seen men turn icy cold after scoring the girl they liked, but he never thought women could be just as callous. 

They had been together countless times. He knew her body like the back of his hand. Aside from her ex–husband, he was probably the man who knew her best. He even knew her every sensitive spot.

“When you were in bed with me, did you feel the same?” 

His gaze was as cold as ice, like he was holding back a raging fury. 

It felt like if she admitted it, he just might lay a hand on her. 

Maja didn’t know how to respond to that. 

lan took a step forward, standing before her. 

“At Crystalbrook Valley, when you saw me and burst into tears, running into my arms, didn’t you like me a bit then? When you were sobbing in bed, hadn’t you started to like me?” 

Maja took a step back. Under his interrogation, she became speechless. 

lan reached out and grabbed her wrist, pulling her towards a big tree 

There were no cameras behind the tree, just a dim streetlight. 

Maja, terrified, swatted at his hand, “What the hell are you doing?” 

As the words left her mouth, lan pressed her against the tree trunk, pulling down her zipper.

She was so furious that she called out his name. 

But lan pinned her hands above her head with one hand, his leg immobilizing hers. 

Maja was suddenly unable to move, left watching lan’s actions. 

His other hand unbuttoned her clothes, inspecting carefully from her neck to her navel. Seeing no new marks, he relaxed a bit. 

Maja felt humiliated. If anyone walked past them at that moment, they’d see her completely exposed. 

When lan saw her trembling, he suddenly bent down and bit her. 

Maja froze at the sensation. When she finally understood, she tried to push him away. 

But her hands were immobilized, and she couldn’t move.

Maja turned her head away, trying hard not to look at him. 

Five minutes later, her breaths were coming in short gasps. 

lan looked up at her, forcefully kissing her lips. 

After the kiss, she was panting heavily. 

Even though her mind was clear, her body had already been conquered by lan’s touch. His touch now was like pouring gasoline on the fire within her. 

She lowered her lashes, hearing him say, “The marks I’ve left are still there. Your body still reacts to me.” 

With that, he grabbed her chin. 

“Or are you just a slutty woman who can react like this to anyone?” 

He gave her waist a harsh pinch. She cried out in pain. He only let her go when a car pulled up in the distance. It must have been Jeff. 

lan let her go, but she expressed her fury by slapping him across the face, turning his head to the side. 

“Asshole!” 

She was shaking with fury, hastily adjusting her clothes while wiping away the tears on her face. 

Seeing her cry, he didn’t know how to comfort her, but when she said, “You have no respect for others. Your love isn’t worth a dime, his unease disappeared. 

He seized her arm. 

“Don’t forget, you were the one who approached me first. How dare you want respect? You don’t even respect yourself.” 

Both were caught up in their emotions, saying things they shouldn’t have, things they wouldn’t normally say to each other. 

He regretted it after he said it, but he eventually didn’t apologize. 

Maja felt hurt by his words. 

After a while, she whispered, “Just because I made a mistake once, does that mean I’m always wrong?” 

She didn’t wait for lan’s response, pushing him away in a fit of anger. 

“So, I’m just that kind of woman in your eyes? Regardless of how you or the Raymonds treated me before, the moment your show the slightest affection, I should be so grateful and run back to you? I’m a human being. Do you guys even see me as one? I have my dignity. What have you done with it? You say you’re just not tired

She quickly wiped away her tears. Seeing Jeff approach, she covered her face to hide her current state from others and prepared to leave. 

lan was left stunned by her barrage of questions. He couldn’t recall what the Raymonds had done to her.
