Holden was lounging on the sofa, looking at lan and casually pointing at the dining table. 

“Grab a bite, then give me the lowdown on Dennis and the whole betting agreement with the EcoTraverse Group.” 

lan wasn’t hungry and chose to sit on the side. 

“Grandpa, you shouldn’t worry your old head about this.” 

Holden picked up his cane next to him and pointed it at lan. 

“I wouldn’t be worried if you hadn’t messed up the Raymond family! What in the hell are you doing? You can’t even get a girl, let alone run a company!” 

lan took the hit and felt a wave of anger rise within him. 

“You think I didn’t try? Beck won with just three Hollywood roles!!“* 

Holden’s cane stopped moving, and he was a bit puzzled. 

“That cheap?” 

The word cheap was a direct jab at lan. 

He could have bought countless such Hollywood roles with the 10% of the Raymond Corporation shares he offered Maja. 

Yet, when Beck proposed this, she only hesitated for a minute. 

All his anger turned into powerlessness in an instant, and he lowered his head, 

“Grandpa, you don’t have to worry about the company. Dennis has been making moves, and he’s just been waiting for the right opportunity.” 

Holden didn’t say a word, and he knew lan’s tricks. 

He sighed, “What about the betting agreement with the Eco Traverse Group?” 

“It’s just for show. The EcoTraverse Group is actually an asset of my friend in North America. The CEO is just a puppet.” 

No one knew about this. Dennis, who was trying to frame lan with the CEO of the Eco Traverse Group, didn’t realize he was the one being played. 

If lan didn’t have the chance to regain the shares from Dennis, he would create one. 

Holden squinted at him without speaking, sizing him up, then waved him off. 

“Alright, if there’s no problem with the company, you can leave. I don’t want to see you anymore.” 

lan stood up, hesitated, and finally couldn’t help but ask. 

“Grandpa, why did you insist on Maja marrying me back then?” 

Was it just because she saved him?

He went to his bedroom, opened the closet and started packing his clothes. 

Maria saw what he was doing and was a bit confused. 

“Sir, are you moving out?” 

“Yeah.” 

“Does Ms. Pennyfeather know?” 

“Yeah.” 

lan had already thrown three suits on the bed. His gaze fell on a box deep in the closet. He couldn’t help but ask. 

Maria, have you ever seen her take this box out? What’s inside?” 

“I’m not sure. Actually, Ms. Pennyfeather didn’t come to Rosewood Manor often when you were still married. She would only drop off the kids. If it wasn’t for the kids, I guess she wouldn’t come even once a year.” 

lan looked at the box but decided not to open it. 

He called Jeff to come and take away all the clothes. 

Seeing that he had made up his mind, Maria discreetly called Maja. 

“Ms. Pennyfeather, Mr. Raymond is packing his suits. Seemed like he’s moving out.” 

Maja, now in clean clothes, was browsing the internet for criticism against the Star Movie group. Her Twitter comments had exceeded 50,000, and even Shawn was criticized several thousand times. 

“Maria, he and I are divorced. He shouldn’t be living there. Handle it yourself, I’m busy at the company.”
