His words are sensual, perfectly executed. To him, I was his everything and more.

Our start had been a disaster, I’ll be the first to admit it, yet here he was ready to stand by my side for the rest of our lives together.

Face obstacles together, because there will be…we are both alphas of our own packs, we both have a threat on our backs, but we will face these challenges together, as one.

“I’d like to know what you are thinking?” His low vibrating voice pulls me out of my thoughts. The palms of my hands were still pressed against his bare chest, the water still trickling upon us from the shower head.

“Before the attack, I was on the cliff tops…” He cuts me off as he leans behind me to turn the temperature dial up, a displeased growl rumbling in his chest.

I ignore his reaction, wanting him to hear what I have to say.

“I had made a decision, to not think of the past, a past I couldn’t remember. That I wanted to live for the future, a future with you. That’s what I was coming back to tell you…to do…”

I take my time as I reach up and place my hands at the back of his neck. Tiptoeing up, I pull his face down to mine letting his lips almost touch mine.

I wanted to savour the moment, this choice I was making.

I have no memory of him marking me, I was completely unconscious and will never know the feeling.

But if the heat was anything to go by, this buzz between us…this pull…it can’t be wrong. The moon goddess can’t deny me for a second time.

My only regret…that I didn’t meet him first. But then I wouldn’t be the person I am today.

“I was coming back to mark you Hector. To claim my mate.”

Not giving him a chance to react to my words, I let my teeth sink into his neck…claiming him as mine.

As soon as my teeth hit bone, his fingers dig into my skin around my hips, a moan of pure ecstasy escaping him.

I feel the bond snap into place, feel the eruption of that connection between us…an explosion of sparks.

My man is fast, he hoists me up…wrapping my legs around his lower torso and pushing us deeper into the water steam until my back hits the cold tile wall.
