Who knew it could be so fun? Chloe was drenched in sweat, looking down at Kalilah, who was sprawled on the ground, barely clinging to life.

"Does it hurt?" she asked, her voice icy.

"Hurt? It's unbearable! Please, just have mercy on me, or kill me already," Kalilah moaned, convinced she was crippled.

"Connor, tomorrow I'm going to the director. You have to back me up. Chloe is a ticking time bomb. If she can do this to me now, she'll do it to others later. We can't let someone like her stay on the show."

Connor didn't say a word, just stared at her. After she had vented everything, he suddenly asked, "Are you hungry?"

Kalilah was stunned, then deeply moved. She hadn't expected him to ask that.

"Of course I'm hungry. I haven't had dinner, and I'm in pain and starving," she replied quickly.

Connor calmly took something out and handed it to her. His voice was steady, "Eat this."
