Jeffery would reclaim some of her authority as a form of punishment. But she hadn't expected to be stripped of her CEO position. Despite her inner turmoil, Claire didn't dare to rebel. She could only sit down quietly.

Jeffery continued, "Secondly, since Connor and Chloe are in love and have pledged their lives to each other, they are now family. If anyone dares to give Chloe a hard time in the future, I will be the first to deal with them."
