The next morning, Chloe headed over to Ann's cozy little café, which had been open for just over a month and was already buzzing with business. Ann was in full swing, bustling about as she shopped for groceries and prepped ingredients right from the crack of dawn. She was a whirlwind of energy, hardly ever taking a pause. Chloe often dropped by to lend a hand.

As Chloe walked in, she found Ann elbow-deep in a sink full of vegetables. Without missing a beat, Chloe shrugged off her coat, rolled up her sleeves, and jumped right in. Cooking might not have been her forte, but she could slice potatoes and debone chicken like a pro. Ann, however, was always a bit hesitant to let her do the heavy lifting.

"Chloe, here you are again so early! I've told you, you don't need to do this. Your hands weren't made for this kind of work," Ann said, eyeing Chloe’s delicate, porcelain-like hands with a mix of admiration and concern.

Chloe just laughed it off. "These hands can handle anything," she said confidently.

After they’d been working for a while and finally took a breather, Chloe’s phone buzzed. She glanced at the familiar number on the screen. Even though she’d deleted Linda’s contact, those digits were etched in her memory. She thought about blocking it but curiosity got the better of her, especially after last night’s drama with the mysterious medication. Surprisingly, Linda’s voice wasn’t accusing; in fact, it sounded downright cheerful.

"Are you at Bliss Café?" Linda asked, her knack for pinpointing Chloe’s whereabouts sending a chill down Chloe’s spine.

That stopped Chloe in her tracks. It was a mystery that had been haunting her, and she knew Linda wouldn’t spill the beans without a motive. Against her better judgment, Chloe decided to go.

The Eternity Bridal Studio was small but renowned, run by the famous designer Michael Young, a favorite among celebrities and socialites. His wedding dresses were the stuff of dreams—and hefty price tags.

When Chloe arrived, she saw Linda in front of a massive mirror, trying on a wedding dress, with four attendants fussing over her every need.
