Chloe slipped her lipstick into the drawer. "Tonight, I'm heading back to the Meadows family."

"What's going on?" Connor asked, a hint of concern in his voice.

Chloe rarely made a point of going there. She shook her head, "Just some things that need sorting out."

Connor knew exactly what she meant—Lisa. Chloe had long suspected that Lisa, in cahoots with Ricky, had tried to have her killed. Luckily, Linda took the bullet meant for her.
