Connor tagged along with Chloe, even though she insisted he didn't need to. He rarely made it back to Eldridge City, and with his role as General Manager at Sartori Corporation, you'd think he'd need to spend some time at headquarters boosting morale. But nope, Connor was determined to stick with Chloe on her trip to Eldridge Entertainment.

With Connor in tow, Chloe had no problems getting around. The secretary quickly passed along messages, and soon they were asked to hang out in a meeting room. After a bit, Claire's secretary popped in, saying, "Ms. Claire is in her office and wants to see Ms. Chloe."

Chloe and Connor got up to go, but the secretary added, "Just Ms. Chloe, please."

Connor frowned, "What, my sister's not up for a reunion?"

The secretary, who'd been dealing with the sibling drama for ages, tread carefully. "Ms. Claire came in furious today, like I've never seen before. Maybe it's best not to stir the pot, Mr. Connor."

Everyone knew these two were like cats and dogs, always at each other's throats. Chloe shrugged it off, "Don't worry, she can't scare me. I've got some things to discuss with Ms. Claire anyway."

Inside, Chloe saw Claire lounging on a couch, pouring tea like she was hosting some refined tea ceremony from the past. Chloe eyed Barrett’s burn-like marks and Claire’s steaming teapot, and couldn’t resist a jab, "Ms. Claire, you really do have eclectic hobbies."

Claire, unfazed by the sarcasm, kept her cool, "Men are just playthings to me."

She poured Chloe a cup of tea, setting it across from her. "Seems we see eye to eye on this. You're probably the only one daring enough to have kept my brother as a trophy boy for three years."
