“His back was covered in glass shards, some of them lodged really deep, but he didn’t make a peep or even wince while they cleaned him up.”

“Dr. Thompson suggested he stay for observation, but he waved it off like it was nothing. Just slapped on some antiseptic, got bandaged up, and walked out. Tough guy.”

“I saw his wife looking so worried, almost in tears. Heard it was a lamp that fell, and he got hurt saving her.”

“His wife’s lucky to have such a good man. Honestly, who throws themselves into danger for someone else these days? And he’s easy on the eyes too.”

Chloe replied, “You were just a kid then. Broken bones heal fast at that age. But now, you’re not as young. You’ve got to take care of yourself.”
