Chapter 280
Xena’s POV
The bumping woke me up, my eyes struggling to open as the helicopter descended. Through the window, I could see some guards, but mostly pack numbers No one looked afraid, but everyone was extremely tense. What shocked me most was that all the women were dressed in rags, covered in filth. Only the men were clean,
Viola’s words echoed in my mind: Women only
have one purpose.
Seeing this scene, the anger inside me burned again. This oppression and humiliation of women made me want to tear this entire damn system to shreds. My right hand clenched tight, feeling my nails dig into my palm, helping me stay alert and focused.
The helicopter landed steadily, and Logan opened the door and stepped out. He him. “Go get Tansy and bring her to me.”
held
head high as he looked around. Spotting a guard, he walked toward
Ryder and Jericho helped me down from the helicopter.
‘I don’t take orders from you, the guard said, taking a confrontational stance.
Seeing this guard’s arrogant attitude, I felt my blood boiling in my veins. These men were used to oppressing women – now it was time for them to taste being oppressed themselves.
With Ryder’s support, I slowly walked to the guard. I stared at him with ice–cold eyes. “What about me? I tore Tatum’s heart out with my bare hands. Should we force you to comply, or will you obediently go to the cells and bring Tansy here?”
He narrowed his eyes as I spoke, his face showing no fear, only contempt. All the women cowered in terror.
Seeing these women cringe made my heart pound violently. They shouldn’t have to live in fear, shouldn’t be treated as second–class citizens because of their gender. I was going to change all of this.
I gently patted Ryder’s hand, signaling that he didn’t need to support me. He slowly released his grip, and I dragged my sick body slowly toward the guard. His brow furrowed, looking very confused. I began releasing my dominance, Una roaring in my mind, my eyes starting to turn black, my fangs beginning to
extend.
His eyes slowly widened as he began to realize something was wrong. He couldn’t possibly understand how a seemingly sickly woman could release such intense dominance. I slowly raised my right hand and used all my strength to punch him in the stomach. He collapsed in pain, screaming in agony.
The watching women were shocked by this scene, gasping in disbelief.
“Could you please ask Tansy to come out of her cell?” I asked one of the shocked women standing around,
“Y–yes, ma’am,” she nodded respectfully, not daring to look at me, keeping her head down.
Watching this woman’s humble posture, a wave of sadness rose in my chest. Soon, I swore, soon these women wouldn’t have to live like this anymore. I would ensure they got the dignity and freedom they deserved.
I looked at the pitiful state of the woman in front of me as she led me to find Tansy. The rags on her body could barely cover the important parts, and her exposed skin was covered with scars and bruises. What should have been lustrous brown hair was now dull and brittle. Dark circles surrounded her eyes, and freshly split lips completed her tragic appearance.
My heart churned with anger, What the hell had these bastards done to this pack? Looking at her condition, I could almost imagine
tate Tansy would
be in.
The cells were only a few hundred yards away. When she reached the door, she glanced at me and quickly lowered her head. With Ryder’s support, I stepped past her and continued forward. A guard stood at the entrance, and when he saw us approaching, he immediately put his hand on his gun holster, Logan sprinted over, grabbed his throat with his right hand, and pinned him against the wall. With his left hand, he pulled out the guard’s gun and threw it on the ground.
“Where are the keys to Tansy’s cell?” Logan said coldly.

Chapter 280
The guard was obviously terrified, urine stains appearing on his pants as he stammered, They’re hanging on the wall in the hack, nesand row, second from
the left.”
Logan smoothly released his grip, and the guard fell to his knees. Logan punched him in the face, and he passed out. Logan walked to the wall, took the keys, and handed them to the woman who had led us. She nodded respectfully and nimbly walked toward the depths of the cells.
Logan said to Jericho, “You stay outside and keep watch.”
Jericho was stunned. He didn’t protest, just nodded slightly with a dejected expression, looking very disappointed.
Ryder supported me as we moved forward. The stairs were steep but manageable. Every step caused me unbearable pain. Sweat and the smell of blood filled my nostrils I knew we were in the right place. We continued along the narrow tunnel until she finally stopped. She unlocked the door, stepped back, and lowered her head.
It was my turn to look. Sitting on the floor, wearing a metal dog collar around her neck, chained to the wall. Her hair was matted with dried blood and filth,
a pack’s Luna treated like this! she wore no clothes, but her face wore a smile. This shocked and enraged me
“Tansy?” I asked softly.
“Is he dead?” she whispered. Her voice was tense but carried happiness.
“Yes.” I picked up the keys and walked toward Tansy. “I’m going to unlock this for you.”
“I wish I could have done it myself,” she said, opening her eyes to look at me.
“Do you know what this means?” I asked. I approached her, and sunlight streaming through the small window above the cell illuminated her skin, which had already begun growing around the collar. The scene nearly made me vomit. My hands trembled, not from fear, but from suppressed rage.

Chapter 281
Xena’s POV
“It means I’m free, Tansy said, her voice barely audible but filled with desperate hope. ‘It means my daughter is safe.”
My hands shook as I worked the key into the lock. The metal had been there so long that removing it would require medical attention. We’re going to get you proper care, I promised.
“Is Penelope alive? Is she safe?” Tansy’s eyes filled with tears as she looked up
at me.
“She’s alive and well. She’s mated to my brother Logan – the Alpha of Nightcedar Pack.” I managed to get the lock open, and the collar fell away with a beavy clank. Tansy immediately brought her hands to her ck, feeling the raw, infected skin where the metal had been.
‘Logan?” she repeated, confusion crossing her features.
“My twin brother. The man who just gave orders outside.” I pulled off my jacket and wrapped it around her shoulders. “Jericho is here too. He’s been waiting for you.”
At the mention of Jericho’s name, Tansy’s entire body went rigid. “Jericho? He’s… he’s really here?”
“He never stopped looking for you. Never stopped loving you.” I helped her to her feet, supporting her weight as her legs shook from weakness and malnutrition.
“I thought I’d never see him again,” she sobbed, her voice breaking. “Wiley told me he was dead.
He
said Jericho abandoned us.”
“Wiley lied about everything,” I said firmly. “Jericho has been working undercover, trying to protect both you and Penelope all these years.”
As we made our way slowly toward the cell door, Tansy gripped my arm. “The other women… please don’t leave them here. They’ve suffered as much as I have.”
I looked back at the woman who had led us here, still standing with her head bowed. “What’s your name?”
“Iris, ma’am,” she whispered.
“Iris, gather all the women. Tell them they’re coming with us. No one stays behind.”
Her head shot up, eyes wide with disbelief. “All of us? But… but the men won’t allow it.”
“The men don’t have a choice anymore,” I said coldly. “This pack is under new management.”
When we emerged from the cells, Jericho was pacing frantically near the entrance. The moment he saw Tansy, he froze. Twenty years of separation, of pain, of hoping against hope it all crashed together in that single moment.
