I got dressed in a nice dress and shoes before walking downstairs to make breakfast. After washing my dishes and putting them away I grabbed my car keys and purse along with my packet of copies of my GED, and Nursing Aide Certificate and references and headed out the door.

As I walked out of the door and walking to my car I saw the same biker from before ride by looking at me. I got into my car started it and backed out of the driveway. As I arrived at the nursing home I found a place to park.

Before getting out of the car I said a little prayer that I would get one of the positions. I walked into the front door and to the nursing station. Hello, I said to the nurse sitting there. I said I am here to apply for a Nursing Assistant position. Thank the lord she said. I grinned and she said, "follow me to the office."

As we got to the office the nurse said: "Linny this young lady is here to apply for the position of a nursing assistant." Come in he said. He handed me an application and said. Please fill this out and if you have time we can do the interview when you finish.

I finished and he looked over the application and said. I have the first shift from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm or a 3:00 pm to 11:00 pm. I would prefer the second shift but can work first. I could really use a second shift right now. That is fine. When can I start? How about Monday?

You can wear any color uniform but white. No problem. I will be here on Monday. Thank you, for the chance to work here. No problem. Let me get a nurse to show you around. That would be wonderful. The same nurse came back and showed me around the home. It is not big and only has about 65 patients at the moment.
