Nicole squinted her eyes.

'Ballard?'

'Tim's father!'

'And her uncle.'

'Why was he here?'

Ballard was being pushed. He was begging for something while protecting his head. Then, he cast a glance at Nicole. He didn't seem to see her because his blank eyes didn't focus on anything.

She heard that Ballard was traveling around the world and didn't saw him even on Tim's wedding day. She never expected that he would end up living a miserable life in such a small city.

'Tim knew it?'

Nicole knew that Tim was unkind to Ballard, but she didn't believe that Tim would do nothing if seeing Ballard like this.

She beckoned to the waiter.

The waiter was very respectful of Nicole, asking, "Madam, what can I do for you?"

"What happened to that person?"

Nicole pointed at Ballard and asked in a low voice.

The waiter glanced at him and said, "He works here, but he does a bad job. We kicked him out several times, and he always came back. Guests often scold him, but some will give him tips after that.
