Nicole's heart lurched.
"Samuel, stop her!"
Although Dylan was a bastard, it was worth nothing that Michele killed the bastard at the cost of her future.
She was only seven years old!
If she killed Dylan, it would be the taint in her life that she couldn't shake off.
Thinking of this, Nicole quickly ran into the room.
Samuel rushed up to grab Michele in the shortest time.
However, Michele was like an enraged wolf cub, struggling extremely.
"Let go of me! You let go of me!"
She waved the kitchen knife in her hand. And Samuel got a sudden cut on the back of his hand. She was too angry to notice Samuel's cut. And her shout attracted the attention of Dylan and Molly.
"Michele? My daughter!"
Molly was defenseless against Dylan's beatings. And when Dylan heard Michele's voice, he thought that she secretly ran back. Thinking of the money, he was in a rage.
"Little bitch, you actually dare to come back. I don't have money to give to your uncle."
As Dylan spoke, Nicole arrived in front of him and hit Dylan on the waist, kicking him away from Molly.
What she despised the most was a man who hit a woman!
He could do nothing outside the home and beat his wife and child at home. What a shameless man he was.
Nicole took a step forward in exasperation and slapped Dylan in the face twice. She said angrily, "What an ass! You are a man?"
Dylan was pissed off after being slapped twice by Nicole who rushed in. Hearing Nicole call him names, he flared up at once.
"You're courting death!"
As he spoke, he raised his hand towards Nicole.
In Dylan's eyes, Nicole was as weak as Molly. However, before his hand could touch Nicole, Nicole grabbed his wrist again. With a pull, Dylan's arm was dislocated.
Dylan screamed in pain.
It really hurt. His voice quivered with pain.
Nicole despised him for being too noisy. She picked up a rag and stuffed it into his mouth, and then kicked him away.
Seeing Nicole beating Dylan, Molly was stunned.
Michele was controlled by Samuel. Waving the kitchen knife in her hand, she couldn't get rid of him.
When Molly noticed the clothes on Nicole and Samuel, her heart thumped.
"Who are you? Please let go of my daughter. I know that my useless husband sold Michele, but please return the child to me. No matter how much he got, I will pay you back."
Molly knelt on the bed and kowtowed to them.
Nicole's heart was heavy as if it was stuffed with lead. And she felt sorry for Molly.
She supported Molly and whispered, "We are here to bring your child back. Please don't do this. It will scare the child. Mother is the child's first teacher. What you are doing will give your child a sense of insecurity."
Molly froze. And a trace of pain flashed across her face.
"Thank you."
Nicole looked at the new injuries and old wounds on Molly. It seemed that Dylan often abused her. Nicole was shocked that domestic abuse really existed in today's society.
"Why are you so cowardly? You even endure being abused by that shit man. And it will have an adverse effect on the child's growth."
Nicole knew that she shouldn't have said this. It wasn't up to Nicole to tell Molly how to deal with the latter one's family matters, but she really couldn't bear to watch this.
"Samuel, let go of the child."
Nicole took a step back. And Samuel let go of Michele.
Michele immediately threw away the kitchen knife and ran into Molly's arms while crying.
"Mommy, are you in pain? I'll take you to the hospital! Where's the money I left for you? I'll take you to the hospital!"
Michele was trying to help Molly up. She didn't even shed tears when she fell from the steel wire. But now, she was wailing miserably. It was what a seven-year-old child would do in facing this. Nicole's nose twitched and she held her tears back.
The child was so close with Molly.
However, Molly immediately noticed Michele's injured leg.
"What happened to your leg? Let me have a look."
"It's fine. I just stumbled. I'm okay. Mommy, you're still not well. I'll take you to the hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Green have money. They'll pay for the bill. And I'll return the money to them."
Michele's words left Samuel slightly stunned.
The little girl no longer regarded him as a bad person but as her ATM.
However, when Samuel's eyes traveled over Molly's face, he was a little shocked. A realization occurred to him.
Because he was in shadow, Molly did not see Samuel's face clearly. Although she sensed Samuel's gaze, she did not have the nerve to look up. She whispered to Michele, "Michele, you can't do this."
"But Mommy, you are..."
"Please go to the hospital for a check. For your child and yourself, how can you endure being abused by that man? He sold the child secretly when you got ill. What if it happens again? Do you think that the child will be so lucky to get back to you again?"
Nicole was angry about Molly's attitude.
Well, the pathetic had some insufferable sides.
Molly was very pathetic, but she acquiesced in the violence. What she did was encouraging Dylan and pushing herself and the child into the abyss.
Nicole felt sympathy for the child, but she was an outsider. Molly was the only one the child could depend on.
Molly gritted her teeth, her tears shedding.
She hadn't expected that Dylan sold her daughter!
However, Samuel put on a long face, heart ached. He said word by word, "Molly, attention!"
"Yes, sir!"
Molly pushed Michele away and stood in front of Samuel as a soldier when Samuel shouted the slogan in a resounding voice. She carried the military discipline in her bones.
At this moment, she became totally different from the woman who just cried for herself.
Nicole stared at Molly in utter amazement.
Oh my god!
What exactly was going on?
Was Molly possessed by others?
However, Samuel did not care about how astonished his wife was. It really hurt Samuel to see Molly like this. Eyes reddened, he said hoarsely, "Do you know it will break his heart to see you like this? That time, he let you go because he wanted you to be happy. But now, look at yourself, what did you do to yourself? What has the child suffered? Molly, what have you been doing all these years?"
Molly bit her lower lip, but she couldn't suppress the sorrow in her heart, bursting into tears. And then, she hugged Samuel and lay on his shoulder crying bitterly.
It was reassuring that Samuel was in front of her. She had no one else to tell over the years. Only by crying would she vent her grievances.
Nicole stared blankly at them. She thought that she would be sulky. But when she heard Molly's heart-wrenching cry, her eyes turned red, and tears were falling down her cheeks.
Anyway, they were comrades in arms. Nicole allowed Molly to cry on her husband's shoulders for a while.
Michele had never seen Molly cry so sadly since childhood.
Actually, she rarely saw Mommy cry. Even if her Mommy was beaten by Dylan, her Mommy never shed tears. Only a few times, her Mommy cried because of her. Michele had never seen her Mommy cry so loudly, which destroyed her tough image.
Michele was frightened.
"Mommy..."
Her voice was soft but piteous.
Nicole sighed and walked forward to pick up Michele. She comforted her in a low voice, "It's fine. Your mommy has suffered too much these years. Let her cry for a while. It will make her feel better when she cries."
Michele began to look at Nicole carefully. She realized that Nicole was really mild. Such a gentle woman couldn't be a human trafficker. And they seemed to know Mommy.
She asked timidly, "Mrs. Green, you will help my mommy, won't you?"
"Yes."
Nicole nodded, but she was not sure.
Molly had not struggled or resisted for so many years. Would it make any difference because of their arrival?
Nicole didn't know, but she didn't want to ruin the child's hope.
Right at this moment, a shout suddenly came from outside.
"Right here! That bitch brought the adulterer to beat me up! Today, I will beat her to death!"
It was Dylan's voice!
