Nicole dodged quickly, but when she pulled the old injuries on her body she hissed silently. The woman stopped when hearing Nicole’s voice, and Nicole brought her under control.

“Cara, it’s me.”

Nicole knew the woman was Cara Clint when she spoke after coming in. Actually, it was easy to understand why she was there, and it’s because Laurence was there too. On the other hand, Nicole admired Cara, for she never gave up Laurence, the man she loved.

Cara knew it was Nicole, so she quit fighting back, and whisperer, “Mrs. Green, what happened to Laurence?”

“I injected sleeping potion into his body, he won’t be awake for a while, and we intend to take him away with us, do you have any idea?”

Cara shook her head gently.

“There are bodyguards all over this mansion looking for you and Young Master, it’s not gonna be easy to get out, but there is one person who can help us out.”

“Who?”

“Evelyn Mason.”

It shocked Nicole a little bit.

“Mason is here?”

“Doesn’t Mrs. Green come here for rescuing Evelyn Mason?”

Cara was a little astonished. Apparently, she didn’t know that Nicole was invited here by Martin.

Nicole got no time to explain why she was there. Knowing that Mason was there as well, she thought of her when she met her lately.

“Do you know where she is?”

“Yes, come with me.”

“Okay.”

Nicole asked Lucas to go back and stay in the vent and went out with Cara.

It looked like Cara knew this place pretty well. Every time when they were about to be seen by the bodyguards, Cara could take Nicole into another room safely.

Seeing all of this, Nicole had doubts, but she asked nothing.

The paths were very complicated, and Nicole felt like she was in a maze. Seeing Cara leading the way so easily made Nicole open her mouth.

“Cara, how long have you been here?”

“More than a week.”

Cara’s answer made Nicole silent.

It was very capable of her to remember so many ways and patrol timing in such a short time.

Finally, after a long time, Cara took Nicole into a room.

“Who is it?”

Evelyn was about to hit with her fist subconsciously for self-defense but was stopped by Cara.

“Mrs. Green is here for you.”

Cara finished her words, and let go of Evelyn’s hand.

Evelyn was shocked, and asked right away, “Why did you do this?”

“I don’t trust her now.”

Nicole didn’t mean to doubt Cara, but she became more cautious after going through so many things.

Mason raised her eyebrows and had no intention to stop her, so Nicole understood that Evelyn also suspected Cara.

“I talked to her just now. She told me she has been here for a week. But I don’t believe that she can know this place so well with just one week. What’s more, she led me to this room without alerting any body guard here. That is impossible.”
