He growled testily, and Tanner was frightened. Without another word, he turned and ran away quickly, as if he was afraid to be killed.

Yasmeen came to her sense after Tanner got out, and her whole face was blushing.

“Lucas Shaw!”

Yasmeen stamped her feet, turned, and wanted to rush out. In the meantime, Lucas's low voice came, "Pull me up. I hurt my back."

Yasmeen stopped.

“Does it hurt badly?”

She trotted back, reached her hand to pull Lucas up, but she was hauled into his arms.
