Thea regarded her so–called family members before her.

In order to obtain what they desired from her, they didn’t hesitate to devise all sorts of means to smear her and saddle her with blame.

Emmalie was about to say something but, catching sight of Max icy glare, reluctantly walked out.

Duncan felt a pang of sympathy. “It’s okay. In this family, it doesnt have to be Max who calls the shots. Let’s go and tell Mom about this. Mom will surely side with us.”

Duncan pinched her face affectionately. “What are you afraid of Mom has weathered all kinds of storms. I think Max has been a bit indecisive lately. Im worried about having someone like that manage the Rowland Group. Why don’t we let Mom make the decision? She’ll understand what I mean.”

Although she was his biological siblings, shouldn’t they meet the parents first when introducing each other to their families? Why was it that he wanted to introduce her to his sister first?
