Thea was helpless against the thick–skinned Ollie. 

She gritted her teeth. “In that case, shouldn’t I thank you, Mr. Windrow?”

Thea glanced at Darwin. “Why didn’t he send me a message?” 

Darwin smiled and said, “Mr. Hendrix said that you must still be busy and have no time. He came to Silvercreek and specially prepared a gift for you. It’s in the room upstairs. Mrs. Hendrix, why don’t you go check it out?”
