I told her to take deep breaths and control her emotions to avoid getting too agitated.

Matthew arranged for us to stay in the same hospital room.

This time, he stayed by our side without leaving, while his father took on the task. of bringing us meals.

The atmosphere, once lightened by the resolution of previous misunderstandings, became heavy and oppressive.
