Joyceleyn was so frantic that she felt like she might break down any second. 

Ellison was still in an international conference. When his phone buzzed incessantly, he glanced at it. Then, he immediately ended the conference. Without a word, he stood up, pulling out his phone to call Joyceleyn back. 

“Don’t worry, I’ll come right now,” said Ellison. His deep voice was laced with urgency as he rushed toward the elevator. 

He immediately instructed William to summon all security departments in the company. 

“I received another message. It seems to be nearby.” Joyceleyn texted back. She input the route into her phone’s navigation and immediately ran out. 

As soon as she left the hotel, she accidentally ran into Aurelia and her group, who were heading to a barbeque restaurant for dinner. 

“Hey, Joyceleyn!” Aurelia called out, waving. But Joyceleyn, too consumed with worry about Lucy, didn’t notice her or respond.

She asked the other colleagues to order food first while the three of them went to see what was going on. 

Joycelyn sprinted ahead. As she was in a hurry to cross the road, she was almost hit by a car. She didn’t care about anything 

else, she only cared about Lucy’s safety at that moment. 

When Aurelia and Selene saw this, they were even more certain that something had happened to Joycelyn. The three of them quickened their pace. 

When they entered the hotel, they had no signal on their phones. There was no one at the front desk and the lobby was cerily empty. Though it was still daylight, the entire place gave of a sinister vibe. 

Joycelyn grabbed two pairs of scissors from the front desk. One was tucked into her bag and the other was hidden in her sleeve. She took a deep breath and walked toward the elevator with a tense expression. 

Aurelia and the others were at the back and were a little slower. The three of them watched the elevator go up and stop on the 10th floor. They entered from another elevator and pressed the 10th floor. 

On the 10th floor, the entire corridor was silent. 

Joyceleyn gripped the scissors tightly, walking slowly but with purpose toward the end of the hallway 

She had barely made it halfway when the malicious laughter of different men sounded from the room at the far end
