I was just as shocked as he was. Although I was 28 when died, my experience with Luke in real situations only amounted to that one night–and it happened after we’d both been drinking.

“I was supposed to go back to sleep after giving you the therapy last night, but you suddenly grabbed me, and I couldn’t pull away,” I explained, trying to make sense of the situation

Thinking of this, Carter said coldly, “Sorry.” 

“It’s fine. I–I’ll just go freshen up,” I said, hastily flee toward the bathroom. 

My body felt like it was on fire. I was burning up. 

I turned on the warm water and took a quick shower, trying to cool myself down.
