He knew she was hiding something from him. 

“Kelvin has been bugging me to be his girlfriend. I’ve rejected him overtly and covertly, but he just won’t let go. He organized this party specifically for me, so…” Tara explained. 

“So you want me to pretend to be your boyfriend to help you get rid of him?” Cameron asked. 

“Yeah.” 

Tara nodded.
