Samuel snorted and looked gloatingly at Henry.

Henry remained silent and looked at Josie with a complicated look in his eyes, but he still said nothing in response. 

Josie sat by the bed. Although Henry said nothing, his sense of oppression was even more intense than hearing his threatening words. 

She knew she should not forget the fact that Henry could quickly lose his temper and act recklessly just because of his heartwarming gestures lately.
