Zachary’s brows furrowed in anger. “If he hadn’t brought her, and something happened to Jane, I could tear him to shreds.” 

Charlotte had always known Zachary to be cold and composed, always cutting straight to the point and solving problems efficiently. 

She and Jane had once found it strange that he could be friends with Charlie, but now she felt there wasn’t much difference between him and Charlie. 

“Shouldn’t you, Mr. Collins, understand the whole situation before getting angry?”

Zachary momentarily didn’t catch that. “She called me?” 

He checked his pockets for his phone, but couldn’t find it anywhere. 

“My phone…” 

Zachary furrowed his brow tightly. 

He couldn’t remember when he had lost his phone. The situation had been too chaotic. 

If Frank hadn’t gone to his house, he would have faced a fierce battle with his family if he had tried to leave today. 

If Nina had taken advantage of the chaos and caused the child to be lost, there would be no way for him to clear his name. 

He had regretted showing pity for Nina countless times.
