Briana pursed her lips. “Let’s talk about you exposing our hidden marriage at the banquet tonight.”

Fortunately, the guests present were all familiar with the Schneider family, so as long as Briana took care of them, no more people would know about her marriage.

Maxim was silent for seconds, and anger was forming in his eyes. “Briana, you’d have no idea about how to deal with your interaction with the barman will if I hadn’t helped you!”

Briana chuckled, but her eyes were still cold.

“I didn’t seem to ask for your help. You decided it on your own, and your action has brought me trouble.”

Maxim looked at Briana with mockery and coldness.

“What trouble? Am I in your way of being with another guy?”

Briana frowned. “Do you have to make it sound so bad?”

“Truths are always hard to accept.”

“Maxim, I don’t want to make things ugly. How can I make you divorce me?”

Maxim suddenly stood up and looked condescendingly at Briana. Word by word, he said, “I told you I wouldn’t agree to the divorce. You’d better give up!”

Briana took a deep breath to suppress her anger. She tried her best to

calmly look at Maxim. “You should have a reason for that. My reason is that I won’t love you anymore, so I don’t want this relationship without love to last.”

Somehow, Maxim would be irritated whenever he thought that Briana wouldn’t include him in her future plans.

He coldly looked at Briana. “You chose this marriage. It’s not up to you to end it!”

Seeing Maxim turning away, Briana gritted her teeth. “Since you disagree, I’ll talk to Norma about this!”

“I dare you!”

In Maxim’s voice was obvious fury, and he stared at Briana like a beast that was going to eat her alive.

Maxim was on a call with Rayan.

“Mr. Yoder, I’ve found it out. Adeline was behind what happened tonight. She was a good friend of Kiley’s when she was abroad. She just returned home and had no grudges against Briana, so, Kiley may have instigated her to do that.”

Maxim’s eyes turned colder as he said. “Send what you found to my phone.”

“Yes, sir!”

After receiving a reminder, Maxim clicked on the email and took a glance. He gave out a cold aura.

He sent Rayan a message and asked him to erase all the traces before calling Kiley.

Kiley waited for a while before talking when she received Maxim’s call. “Maxim, didn’t you say that you didn’t want to have any connection with me? Why do you call?”

“Are you behind what happened tonight?”

Kiley’s breathing went heavy. She then said with anger and grievance. “Are you suspecting me?”
