Grace clutched her heart and felt that even breathing was starting to become difficult.

She nodded at the doctor. "Thank you, Doctor. I'll bring her over for a checkup later."

Nelson's gaze did not move away from her face. He looked at her intently. "I'll bring you there after the IV drip. Don't worry. Austin was fine after she fell into the water when she was young. She'll definitely be fine this time."

Grace was mentally and physically exhausted. She could only silently pray for Austin in her heart.

The phone rang. Grace glanced at the caller ID and tears fell again.

She didn't know how to face Brian. At this moment, she didn't want to hear his voice, so she hung up.

After a while, his text message came in. [Why aren't you home?]

Grace glanced at Austin and turned off the phone. After the IV drip, it was already early in the morning.

Nelson drove them to the Community Hospital and drew Austin's blood. The doctor said that the report would not be released until tomorrow afternoon at the earliest.

Grace returned to the ward uneasily. "Nelson, you can go back first. You don't have to stay here."

Nelson said, "You don't have to worry about me. Take a nap first. If you fall ill, Austin'll be sad when she wakes up tomorrow."

Grace lowered her eyes and tears flowed uncontrollably again.

Nelson comforted her. "Don't cry. Austin is just having a fever. Sleep for a while. I'll guard here."

Grace was indeed very tired. She had not slept last night and had been running around all day today. She had not even had any food until now.

Her body really could not take it anymore. She lay on the bed and fell asleep in a daze.

Nelson gently picked her up and placed her on the bed next to Austin .

When Grace saw her like this, her heart instantly tightened. "Austin, what's wrong?"

Austin's eyes were dull. She slowly moved her gaze away and looked at the ceiling.

Grace was even more afraid. Tears fell from her eyes. "Baby, what's wrong? Talk to Mommy, okay?"

She gently picked up Austin and placed her on her lap, her face filled with anxiety.

Seeing this, Nelson immediately called a doctor.

The doctor did a simple checkup and took Austin's temperature. He said to Grace, "There's nothing wrong. Perhaps it's because she was too frightened. She should be fine after you calm her down and comfort her."

Grace was still very worried because Austin had never been like this before.

No matter what Grace said, Austin did not react. She just looked out of the window quietly.
