Vivian glanced at Carson lying on the hospital bed.

She thought, 'This man is stalling for time. The drug he injected into Carson just now must be lethal. If the needle still isn't removed and the drugs flow into Carson's body, Carson will be done for.'

Vivian forcefully shrunk down, took a step forward, and quickly reached out to pull the needle off Carson's hand.

Carson closed his eyes and let out a deep sigh. Skillfully changing the subject, he said, "You're still in the mood to joke. You're thoughtless."

She stuck out her tongue at him. Then, she suddenly thought of something, and she said guiltily, "But you probably have to go find Grace alone."
