Lucan took the cigarette and thanked him politely.

Lucan glanced at the cup stained with lipstick on the table and asked as he lit his cigarette, "So, Mr. Francis, who is the lucky lady you're meeting?"

Nelson took a drag of his cigarette and replied, "Nova."

Lucan was surprised. "Oh, it's Miss Nova. She used to be your right-hand woman, Mr. Francis. Now that she's on her own, you must miss her."

Nelson's expression was indifferent and it was hard to tell if he was smiling because his exhale of smoke had obscured his face slightly.

Lucan was stunned for a moment and continued trying to flatter Nelson. "Mr. Francis, you have a visionary perspective and unique insights.

"By the way, I just negotiated a collaboration with Miss Nova. She was under your guidance before so I feel reassured to collaborate with her."

Nelson raised an eyebrow upon hearing this news. "What collaboration?"

"We're collaborating on the Wayne project. This is the Top Group's key project recently and it has attracted a lot of investment. As she used to work for you, I trust her expertise," Lucan explained.

Nelson took a final drag of his cigarette before extinguishing it in the ashtray.
