While Jasmine was still lying in bed complaining about Casper, a low, hoarse cough suddenly came from outside the door.
Jasmine startled, turning her head to look.
"So you pretended to faint to deceive me! Very well! I'm telling you now! I'll be the one in charge of Brian's marriage!" Casper shouted.
With those words, Casper turned and left, leaving Jasmine fuming and collapsing heavily back onto the bed.

Grace rubbed her forehead and spent a while comforting Jasmine with Austin before finally coaxing her back home.
The next day, after breakfast, Jasmine dressed up nicely, grabbed her purse, and headed out.
She arrived at Grace's company and arranged to have lunch with Grace at noon.
However, upon arrival, she realized that they were at the same place where Brian was meeting Marley.
Grace didn't want to go in, but Jasmine insisted and dragged her out of the car.
Jasmine handed her a hat and held arms with her as they entered the restaurant and sat in a corner.
Jasmine said, "Look over there by the window, that's the heiress of the Langley family, all dolled up. Looks nothing like her photos! Not even one percent as good-looking as you. If Casper knew what she really looked like, I wonder if he could even stomach his food.
"It's already eleven, and Brian still hasn't arrived. Probably going to stand her up."
Before Jasmine finished her sentence, Brian walked in through the door.
"Tsk, right on time."
Brian looked down, his tone cold. "Marriage, Miss Langley, you're thinking quite far ahead."
"Our purpose in meeting each other is for marriage, isn't it? Is there a problem with my thinking like this?" Marley said.
In the corner, Jasmine leaned in, trying to listen, but couldn't make out what they were saying. All she saw was the woman smiling brightly.
Brian looked at her expressionlessly and said coolly, "I have a daughter. She's five years old. Did your family tell you about this?"
Marley was taken aback, her composure visibly cracking.
But then she thought again. Brian was so handsome and capable. If she married him, the Langley Group's real estate business could flourish even more. What did it matter if she became a stepmother? Where else could she find such a perfect man?
She chuckled softly and said, "Really? I love little girls. It's great that you have a daughter. We'll have a son in the future, and I've heard that childbirth is very painful. Don't worry, I'll treat your child as my own."
