Grace glanced at the time. She had a meeting soon, and it would probably be too late to pick up the children after it.

She replied, "Alright. Let Melvin call a doctor. I have a meeting soon. I'll ask my mom to pick her up."

"Okay, I twisted my ankle this morning, and it wasn't a big deal. But after a nap in the afternoon, I couldn't walk," Jasmine said.

"Well, don't worry about the kids. My mom is free anyway," Grace said.

From Jasmine's end, Melvin's voice could be heard indicating that the doctor had arrived. Grace bid farewell and hung up.

Then she called Daisy.

When Grace called, she could hear the sound of noise.

Daisy seemed to have great fun.

She put the call on speakerphone and asked while shopping, "What's up? I'm busy right now," Daisy said.

"Austin's grandmother twisted her leg. Can you pick up the kid? I'm in a meeting right now," Grace said.

Daisy clicked her tongue. "I'm not free now! I'm shopping! Think of a way yourself..."

"Are you going or not?" Before Daisy could finish, Grace interrupted her coldly.

With the speaker on, Grace's shouting was heard by Daisy's friends.

Daisy awkwardly chuckled, picked up her phone, and moved aside, turning off the speaker.

"Why are you shouting?" Daisy said.

"I want you to go now! Go pick up the kid immediately!" Grace said.

"You..."

"If you still want to get a penny from me, you'd better go now!" Grace said.

Daisy's words were stuck in her throat. She held it in for a long time before saying, "Alright! What time is school dismissed? I'll go after a while."

When Austin saw it was Daisy who came, she asked in confusion, "Where's Jasmine?"

Daisy furrowed her brows, "Huh, aren't you disappointed when it's not Jasmine picking you up? Do you only have eyes for Jasmine and not me?"

Austin stuck out her tongue, "But you've never picked me up from school before."

Daisy made a fake gesture of hitting her bottom and scolded, "You little rascal. I'm not like your grandma, who's a rich housewife and doesn't have to work all day!"

"Thank you, Grandma," Austin said obediently with a smile.

Daisy felt a little relieved.

The child was cute and sweet when she smiled.

Daisy held her hand and went to hail a cab.

As the two stood by the roadside, a black car pulled up in front of them.
