The car stopped in front of a hotel.

Sharon had already booked a room in advance.

Of course, she had only booked one room because she hadn't planned to bring Brian to look for Grace on this trip.

Instead, it was to seduce Brian. However, Brian was unwilling to even look at her.

Brian went to get a room by himself. It was two floors away from Sharon's room.

Sharon was unhappy. She went to the front desk and changed to the room next to Brian.

While she was paying the deposit at the front desk, Brian pulled his suitcase toward the elevator without waiting for her.

At this moment, there was a commotion from the stairs. Then, the crowd surged out of the hall, and a loud bang resounded in the hall.

Bang!

Screams sounded one after another. Sharon saw a man in a T-shirt rush out of the crowd. He held a black gun in his hand and fired at the crowd.

Sharon screamed in fear, "Oh! Help!"

Perhaps her scream was too ear-piercing. The man noticed her and darted over, locking Sharon's throat.

The black muzzle was aimed at Sharon's head.

Sharon was so frightened that her legs went soft and he slid to the ground like mud.

The man looked like he had just taken drugs and was now delirious. He grabbed Sharon and walked out the door.

Sharon was scared out of her wits. Her face was as pale as a corpse. Her voice trembled non-stop. "B-Brian. Save me, save me..."

Brian narrowed his eyes and put down the suitcase in his hand.

Only then did Sharon come out from behind Brian. She looked at his leg and exclaimed, "Oh my god. You're injured."

Brian frowned and avoided her touch.

The police took Brian to the hospital, where the doctor removed the bullet for him.

Sharon asked worriedly, "Brian, does your leg hurt?"

Brian lay on the bed with his eyes closed, ignoring her.

"My heart broke when I saw you get hurt. How I wish I were the one who got hurt," Sharon cried as she wiped away the nonexistent tears in her eyes.

Brian found it very noisy. He frowned and opened his eyes to look at her. He said sarcastically, "If you thought that way for real, you wouldn't have hidden behind me and used me as a human shield."

Sharon was stunned. "I... I was just shocked. Brian, seeing you injured makes me feel worse than if I was injured myself."
