The noon soon came and I woke up after catching a little bit of sleep.
When I got out of my room, I immediately saw Esha’s figure phasing back and forth in my door. Her figure was full of anxiousness and remorse.
“T-teacher!” As soon as I swung the door open, Esha looked at me with a conflicted expression. She appears to be hesitating in approaching me because of the mishap she did earlier.
“Why are you here? Have you finished restoring the clinic to its original state?” I asked, still with a stern expression.
Esha was too young when I met her and started to teach her medicine. Because most of her peers were not able to survive back then, she was always treated in high regard by becoming my student. What happened earlier was a realization to me that I have to build Esha’s good character as well.
Esha is shy and timid, but when it comes to certain things like medicine, she may become arrogant and prideful. As such, I decided to use this situation to let her learn about humility and respect.
“I.. we finished cleaning up already Teacher… but we were not able to replenish the herbs that were destroyed by the incident…” As Esha explained these things, her head hung low in guilt.
“Teacher… I’m sorry… I did not think things through and caused our pack’s precious medicines to be wasted just like that…” Her expressions seemed to now realize the extent of the damage that she made because of acting hastily.
However, she also had to learn to fix the trouble she had made, “You should apologize to Arthur later, just like I said earlier, most of my knowledge was taught by him and my Master, his father. You should give him the respect that is due to him…”
“As for the wasted medicine, I will give you three days to gather and prepare all of it. Moreover, you are to stay in the pack for three months and not go out until I permit it. That would be your punishment.” I explained.
“Three days… Teacher… that’s…” Surprised at my orders, Esha looked at me dumbfounded as she estimated the reasonable time to replenish all the wasted medicines and herbs was way far than the time I gave her.
“No complaining! If you could have dealt with the situation responsibly and not reacted hastily then you wouldn’t even be in this predicament.” I told her before stepping out and seeing the rest of the pack.
When I got out, the rest who were also punished because of the incident all came to apologize to Arthur as well.
As for Caleb, I ‘punished’ him by sending him back to the Frost Fang Pack to escort Arthur and continue the preparation for the plans inside their territory.
Our plan consists of two interlinked phases. First is the plan to conceal our operations while strengthening Blake’s Frost Fang Pack’s reputation inside Alpha Kain’s forces.
The next few days will be filled with a lot of information gathering and plot work, so that we could create a picture that Frost Fang Pack is genuinely tracing and eradicating any sign of the Red Moon Pack’s existence.
The next part of the plan is to slowly eliminate the packs that help Alpha Kain gain their prestige. In doing so, we shall also make it seem like a number of these packs were cooperating with the Red Moon Pack and are plotting to betray Alpha Kain.
However, remembering how cunning and extremely wary Alpha Kain was, we could only do this in moderation.
Moreover, the execution of this plan was really complicated and it needed a lot of manpower. The Frost Fang Pack, Silver Pack and Red Moon Pack might not be enough to execute this on a wider scale that is why we agreed to only start this after a month of preparation.
Just like that, the day passed so quickly.
